When states fail to adequately staff voting locations, limit hours of voting, and use inefficient practices, the lines to vote get longer and longer. In some urban areas, voters have been forced to stand in line for hours. They have to be incredibly persistent and dedicated to exercise the most important right they have as citizens. This work is part of a series called Making the Voters Chicken.
