Inspired by stained glass windows, the knitted panel of grey wool evokes the solidity of stone walls in a cathedral. It frames the intricately patterned center. Through the lace openings we glimpse a scene bursting with color and light. Both layers are made of wool, with smooth lace yarn contrasted against the colorful raw felt. Windows suggest ways of looking beyond the present, both literally and figuratively. They inspire meditative reflection.
